THE MISSION: DON’T STOP UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE
The mission of the Tactical Team of the New Mexico State Police Special Operations Bureau is to provide a rapid and coordinated response to high-risk incidents throughout the state. The team consists of highly trained officers who specialize in responding to various high-stress situations, including armed barricades, open field manhunts, active shooters, hostage situations, counter assault, dignitary protection, vehicle takedowns, and buy-busts. As a Tactical Team officer, you will be trained in rappelling, tracking, less lethal, and covert operations and must remain constantly vigilant and ready to act in various high-stress situations. With an average of 125 missions per year, the Tactical Team is a vital asset to uniform officers and other law enforcement agencies throughout the state of New Mexico.
