Albuquerque, NM – On June 29, 2023, at around 6:30 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal crash involving a passenger vehicle and commercial motor vehicle (CMV) on Interstate 25, at the Martin Luther King Exit.
The initial investigation indicated that a 2006 Toyota passenger vehicle, was traveling southbound on Interstate 25 near mile marker 224. For reasons still under investigation, the Toyota rear ended a 1993 CMV, that was parked on the shoulder. Atticus Pearl (22) of Albuquerque, NM, the driver of the Toyota, was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the CMV was not injured.
This crash is being investigated by the New Mexico State Police.
