All Evacuations Lifted in McBride Fire Area

Ruidoso, NM – The Type1Incident Team, together with the New Mexico State Police, the Village of Ruidoso, and Lincoln County officials are lifting all evacuation orders in the McBride Fire area.

Residents in the following areas will be allowed to return at 10:00 AM today:

  • Gavilan Canyon from Warrior Drive south to HWY 70
  • Lower Eagle Creek

All residents are asked to continue to be aware of their surroundings and to avoid any downed power lines or damaged trees.

The Ruidoso Convention Center remains open, and the Red Cross and Salvation Army are on scene to provide hot meals, water, and support to evacuees. T-Mobile is also offering free mobile phones.
